A Look Behind the Scenes of Our Learning Platform

WiseLearn Plattform/ January 31, 2025

What opportunities does the digital world offer for learners aged 55 and above? In our project, we aim to shape lifelong learning together. A new video provides exciting insights into the development of an online learning platform co-created with its target audience and tailored to their interests and needs.

Digital Education

Today, digital education often targets younger generations. However, a key demographic—people over 55—frequently remains excluded. The goal of WiseLearn is to build a digital learning platform and offer high-quality, participatory courses for learners aged 55+. The courses are offered either online or in a blended format. This latter approach combines theoretical online learning units with in-person sessions, where collaboration and the practical application of knowledge take center stage.

We don’t develop the content alone; we create it together with the learners. In co-development meetings, we collaborate directly with the target audience to ensure the content aligns with their needs and interests. Whether the focus is on innovation, entrepreneurship, business development, or healthy aging, participants bring their own experiences and perspectives. The result? Courses that not only impart knowledge but are also genuinely relevant and practical.

The New Video: A Look Behind the Scenes

Last year, a team from the Digitalization Initiative of the Zurich Universities (DIZH) joined one of our meetings. The video showcases how we work with participants to develop ideas, design content, and bring a vision of lifelong learning to life. Watch the video now to experience how the digital future is being shaped for the 55+ generation.
